Valentine4Senate is a blog created by students as an assignment for Truman State University’s Political Communication course. The blog follows Trudy Busch Valentine’s 2022 campaign for Senate and seeks to provide factual information and well-informed opinions for readers.

Posting Schedule
The bloggers will do their best to maintain a consistent posting schedule, but they appreciate your patience and understanding if anomalies occur. Content from Ashtyn can be expected on Monday, content from Karsen can be expected Wednesday, and content from Colleen can be expected Friday. All blog posts will post at 5 pm.

Ashtyn Rouland is a senior political science and international relations major at Truman State University with minors in political communication and public administration. After college she plans on pursuing a career within the field of international security policy and intelligence.

Colleen O’Reilly is a sophomore at Truman State University pursuing a degree in Political Science and International Relations, with concentrations in Political Communications and Environmental Studies. After college, Colleen hopes to become further involved in the political sphere by working on campaigns or for a non-profit organization.

Karsen is a senior Communication major with an emphasis in Communication Studies. After graduating, she plans on entering a field in Human Resources and management.
